Mission Statement
Motivated by a commitment to high quality education Gustavus Adolphus Learning Center provides a comprehensive educational program promoting skills, knowledge, and resources which strengthen and support positive growth in children, preparing them to return to their home community.
The Gustavus Adolphus Learning Center provides a learning environment whereby every student can reach his/her potential. GALC provides programing for grades 6-12. Classes are either self contained or departmentalized in an 8:1:1 setting. While in this academic setting efforts are made to address the emotional difficulties of the youth. Behavioral management programs are established and individualized as needed. Counseling services are provided by licensed Social Workers as needed.
Curriculum
All curriculums are developed to meet New York State Standards.
Regents and Middle School assessments are given.
