ABOUT US

Lutheran was founded in 1886 as the G.A. Home for Children to serve the children of Swedish immigrants who lost their lives in the trek to America. As the years passed and the needs of the community changed, today Lutheran serves both seniors and youth with special needs.

Our mission is to offer a continuum of care that supports an individual’s journey through life with compassion, dignity, and respect. Our vision for the future is to be the innovative leader and first choice for employment, living, and care.

LIFE WELL LIVED. EVERY DAY.

Welcome to Lutheran Jamestown! Our heritage has been ingrained in the Jamestown, New York, area since 1886 but we provide a broad range of youth and senior services to the western New York region.

Whether you’re looking for independent 55-and-up housing options, world-class rehabilitation services, or just need some answers for questions you’re not prepared to handle, our knowledgeable team can help you navigate the complex world of aging.

Our mission at Lutheran is to offer a continuum of care that supports an individual’s journey through life with compassion, dignity, and respect. Our vision for the future is to be an innovative leader and first choice for employment, living, and care.

OUR SERVICES

Edgewood Communities

Edgewood Communities is an independent senior housing community that offers an affordable, easy, and worry-free way of life while still offering the cozy and intimate feeling of owning a home. Our residences are nestled among stately trees with a picturesque view of the rolling hills of southern Chautauqua County.

Hultquist Place Assisted Living Program

Located on the beautiful Lutheran campus in Jamestown, our Hultquist Place Assisted Living Program provides a welcoming atmosphere where seniors readily feel at home. Our assisted living residents enjoy an independent lifestyle with peace of mind knowing that help is right around the corner should they need it.

Warner Place

Warner Place on the Lutheran Campus in Jamestown is the area’s only medical-model adult daycare and healthcare program for adults. The program is designed for individuals who require skilled nursing care during the day but can remain at home with their family or caregivers in the evenings.

Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation

We are committed to excellence in all that we do by providing compassionate care for all of our residents to optimize a life of dignity and physical well being. The Lutheran Home and Rehabilitation Center consistently receives 5-stars in quality and in 2017 was designated a 5-star facility overall.

Senior Life Matters

The issues that older adults face can feel overwhelming. “Can I still manage this house and all the maintenance? How do I choose the best insurance for my needs? Should I ask my children for help cleaning and shopping or hire someone? Can I get some Medicare help and guidance?”

RSVP and Foster Grandparents

Lutheran is the proud sponsor of two Senior Corps programs, RSVP and Foster Grandparents. Senior Corps is a network of national service programs for Americans 55 years and older, made up of three primary programs that each take a different approach to improving lives and fostering civic engagement.
