Lutheran Employees Hold Supply Drive for Anew Center

Shortly before the holidays, the staff at Lutheran in Jamestown held a contest to see which department, Dietary or Environmental Services, could collect more personal hygiene items, gift cards, monetary donations, clothing, toys, and other supplies to donate to the Salvation Army Anew Center in the city.

The contest took place during the month of November with all the supplies being delivered the week before Christmas. The supply drive was a Compass in the Community project which is an outreach program that the two departments participate in each year as a way to give back to the community. Stephanie Reichardt, Kristen Washburn, Kayla Johnson, and Deborah Darling (shown) helped deliver all the supplies using Lutheran’s campus bus.

Bragging rights ultimately went to Environmental Services who won the competition after all the items and points were calculated.
