Answer; For those clients who have known me for a number of years, you know that I never seem to stay in an office location very long. My current office is the seventh office I have had since Senior Life Matters began. I believe this next week’s move is my forever office! The new offices of Senior Life Matters are amazing! I would like to invite you to see the building on June 29thfrom 10 to 2!
Senior Life Matters (SLM) is part of the Edgewood Communities on the Lutheran Campus in Jamestown. Over the last 14 to 18 months, there has been some major construction on our campus at the corner of Falconer Street and Aldren Avenue.
That construction project is our new home – the Edgewood Commons. It is very exciting and we cannot wait to finally be there.
As with any construction project, things come up and adjustments must be made along the way. This process has been relatively smooth for us because we had a wonderful temporary office at 219 Gustavus Ave. Now we are getting ready to leave that temporary office and into our new, best office yet!
The Edgewood Commons is so much more than just office space even though it will have the Senior Life Matters program and Lutheran Senior Housing offices inside. The building also has several activity rooms, a fitness center, grab-n-go café, billiard room, locker rooms, a wonderful sitting area with a beautiful fireplace, outside sitting areas on the patio, and a 42 seat theater (with real movie seats) and more.
The Edgewood Commons building is available to current residents in the Edgewood Communities at Lutheran. The Edgewood Communities include all of the independent living apartments and duplex homes on the Lutheran campus. Another great thing about the Edgewood Commons building is that we will also be hosting our future meetings, programs and public seminars there! I cannot wait to be in the new location. I also cannot wait to begin to plan our programs in our new building for the coming year.
Over the next two weeks, you may see some advertising and possibly invitations to come visit our new building. We will be moving soon. On Saturday, June 29, we will be hosting a community-wide open house for the public to come see what the Edgewood Commons has to offer and say Hello to the Senior Life Matters staff. The open house will be from 10am to 2pm at 737 Falconer Street in Jamestown. No reservations are required.
